  • Hi Yvonne and Ed, I just wanted to let you know that the float is going great. I have had a lot of people comment on what a nice float it is, I always give them your details. It is well built and easy to tow and the workmanship is excellent. The ventilation was fantastic over the Perth summer. Thanks for being great to deal with. Very happy to recommend Gladiator Floats to anyone.
    Kind regards and much Thanks

  • We couldn't be happier with the float, a friend who bought a Stallion brand float a month after we picked up ours has had nothing but trouble with hers so we are very happy with our final choice.

Plus my show horse who the float was purchased for was the floater from hell before traveling in it and we used to have to give an extra hour to every trip to allow for the tantrums and stress of trying to load & unload her.Now if i don't undo the dividers & move the tack box out of the way before bringing her down to the float to load her we have to move her off the tailgate or have another person hold her as she sees the open float and just wants to get in her bay. Shes even tried getting in through the front door when shes tied to the side!

    Thanks again
    Kind regards

  • I have had horses all of my life, and had a great float in which my husband John built me in the 80's. A couple of years ago, I had decided that I needed a new horse float something we could camp in, as my daughter was dedicated in riding at numerous shows.

I spent 2 years studying the kinds of floats in Australia and one thing I knew was that I wanted it built in Australia and NOT overseas. A very close friend of mine had heard about Gladiator Floats, so I decided to follow up on that. I found the proprietors very helpful and decided that in July 2011 that I would proceed in having them manufacture a specific float. Over the months Gladiator and myself designed a float that would not only accommodate horses, but would also accommodate living quarters.

As the stages of the float were being built we had changed a few interior things which Gladiator were very happy and willing to alter. I had not seen my new float until it had arrived. I am so impressed with the workmanship of the horse float and the specific details that they had done.

I have never seen such a well built/solid float in my life. It is just wonderful to see such great dedication to building floats such as mine. Gladiator Horse Floats should be so proud of it.

As a customer, I found communicating with Gladiator a pleasure. They had wonderful ideas, specifically the shower that was installed! How clever, along with the queen size bed which acts as a partitioning wall when traveling. I would recommend anyone wanting a new float to contact Gladiator Horse Floats and forget overseas made floats. Keep our money in Australia.

    Thank you Gladiator!

  • We purchased a 3H angle load standard float from Gladiator, we had previously owned a 2H Kara Kar.

Not only is our float great to tow, our horses young and old seem very comfortable. With the full swing out tack box, it gives us plenty of room when camping at an event with our young daughter, and with the extra roof lining we have no worries about getting dripped on with condensation.

We would love for anyone in our area to contact us if they'd like to look it over.

Just got my beautiful new float home. It towed like a dream through the Blue Mts, uphill, over dale and across dirt roads. I feel very spoilt and I know the horse will feel the same.

My non-horsey husband climbed under it and went through it and thought it was brilliantly constructed and will last years on our rough roads. Thank you for all your support, advice and attention to detail. I will recommend this float and your company to anybody.

We recently purchased a 3 horse Gladiator float from their factory in Wollongong.
We had been researching the major manufacturers for many months prior to making this decision. We found that the Gladiator Floats were far superior to anything else on the market in terms of tradesmanship, engineering and finish.
The float is very well balanced and tows beautifully. The standard inclusions on the float were all considered 'extras' by other manufacturers.
The float also represented excellent value for money being many thousands of dollars cheaper than its nearest competitor.
I am a fussy buyer and couldn't find anything that came close to the float which we purchased.

I took delivery of my 2 horse angle load Gladiator float in early May this year and could not be happier.

When I went looking for a new float I wanted something that was sturdy to tow, didn't bounce all over the road, gave the horses a good ride, was comfortable to camp in and that I didn't need two people to put up the tail gate.

After checking out most of the new floats on the market and finding them to be very 'tinny' I came across the Gladiator web site and just couldn't believe what I was looking at, I thought that for the price the float couldn't be as good as the pictures, so I drove from Dubbo to Wollongong to check it out.

I was in for a very pleasant surprise and spent a wonderful few hours with Yvonne. I put an order in on the spot. Not only does my float look good but it has handled our western roads like a freeway.

The most pleasant surprise was that every horse we have loaded just walks in.
I have two problem loaders and two good loaders.

One of the problem horses is a 17.2hand thoroughbred who with his previous owners was continually banging his head entering and riding in their float.

When we first loaded him in the Gladiator he hesitated, had a look and then went straight in. There is also plenty of room for him and he does not move while travelling. In fact none of the horses are restless in the float and arrive calm and stress free even after 3 to 4 hours in the float.

The other problem pony was one that for no particular reason just didn't like to load, now he just walks in and stands in his bay. This float is a float that fits all. As well as the thoroughbred I float my Welsh Cob who is very broad, my granddaughters 12.2 hand pony and my miniature.

My grandchildren love to sleep on the fold up beds and my stretcher fits nicely underneath. With the lovely modern kitchen camping at shows is now great fun and just so easy.

In fact I am now selling my caravan and will use the Gladiator for holidays without the horses. I plan to retire in a couple of years and the Gladiator will be my home while I travel around Australia with one of the horses. When we are at shows we are constantly asked for a look through the float and everyone is very impressed. My daughter and I have a great time showing it off and are always trying out someone's hard to load horse.

We have not had a failure yet!!

This float tows that well that when my daughter left her sunglasses on the wheel guard they stayed there all the way to pony club.

If you are looking for a new float with amazing extras and live in western NSW, give me a call and I will be happy to show you around my float. Thanks Yvonne for a fantastic float.

Rhonda Laws and some very grateful horses.

We purchased a 3 Horse Angle Load Float from Gladiator in May 2011, and it has averaged approximately 700kms per week since then.

Gladiator were more than happy to assist us in designing the float we wanted, with features including horses facing to the right, a kitchen of our own design and extras that were not standard inclusions.

The after sales service has been second-to-none, and they have always been friendly and approachable in all of our dealings with them.
